FAQ

Is Poli-Anna affiliated with any political party?

Poli-Anna is non-partisan. We want this conversation to take place across the spectrum of women with different political viewpoints.

Is Poli-Anna a feminist company?

Yes.

What are Poli-Anna's views on feminism?

We stand behind and practice the importance of intersectionality in feminism.

Intersectionality is a concept often used in critical theories to describe the ways in which oppressive institutions (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, xenophobia, classism, etc.) are interconnected and cannot be examined separately from one another.

We are part of the fourth wave of feminism as it's being developed and defined. We are participating in a necessary shift in the patriarchal world culture, which we believe is ailing and broken. We are women supporting women, raising each other higher, to raise all of us higher. We are for moving towards an equal prioritization of masculine and feminine values in our culture – balancing the scales – to bring healing that all of us need.

Is Poli-Anna a not-for-profit organization?

No. Poli-Anna is in the process of becoming a for-profit Benefit Corporation.

In the United States, a benefit corporation is a type of for-profit corporate entity, authorized by 30 U.S. states and the District of Columbia that includes positive impact on society, workers, the community and the environment in addition to profit as its legally defined goals.

Does Poli-Anna think women are stupid and need politics to be dumbed down?

No. Poli-Anna believes many women, and anyone, can benefit from a digestible, entertaining, nitty-gritty refresher in politics without mansplaining. If you already know everything about politics and consider it your "thing", Poli-Anna may not be for you.

Can men be part of Poli-Anna?

Men can and will enjoy watching our courses and participating in our exercises! Our cast and online communities are women-only; see "mansplain-free."

Politics is not my thing. Will I like Poli-Anna?

Yes! The days of "Politics is not my thing" are over. Politics is the new brunch. We all have a responsibility to make it our thing at SOME level. And this course is designed to fast-track you onto a political journey of your own.
